Yesterday, we hosted Air Selangorโ€™s NRW and CBS teams, together with representatives from the Taipei Water Department, Stantec Taiwan, and Schneider Electric East Asia, for a hands-on exchange on Non-Revenue Water (NRW) management and ultrasonic smart metering bringing together policy, operations, and data to show whatโ€™s possible at scale.

On site, we demonstrated how Ultrasonic Smart Meters (USM) can detect hidden leaks and water losses before the meter, issues that are usually hard to spot but have a big impact on NRW. Inside our CubiqNexusโ„ข๏ธ platform, CubiqLeakSenseโ„ข๏ธ detected unusual noise patterns, alerting us to possible leaks. In two monitored DMZs, those digital signals were later confirmed on-site as real leaks.

Air Selangorโ€™s repair team was activated immediately, closing the loop from detection โ†’ validation โ†’ action.

We also saw this in action on the customer side: a nearby houseโ€™s USM triggered a leak alarm showing that the system can also detect leaks after the meter.
